The problem stems from associating freethought with atheism. Not all atheists are freethinkers. Case in point: the current debacle between Thunderf00t and PZ Myers. Last year, PZ kicked off Tunderf00t from his “Freethought Blogs” after writing a blog post critiquing feminism. One would assume a blog called “Freethought Blogs” would allow for free thought. Doesn’t seem to be the case here.

It’s also worth noting that the same “Forethought Blogs” is pushing for “Atheism Plus,” which is atheism mixed with far-left ideology. So in other words, these atheists are free from religious dogma, but are required to submit to left-wing political dogma. How is that freethought?
